Welcome to Solar Solidarity International !

The energy coming from the sun and hitting the earth represents ten thousand times ( !) the energy consumption of mankind. Sun energy represents hence a huge potential. But, currently, 1, 7 billion people still do not have access to electricity : their is hence a huge energy need to satisfy.

Solar Solidarity International promotes an equal and sustainable development by creating a dynamic to reduce the gap between the huge potential of renewable energies and the enormous energy need of mankind.

Solar Solidarity is an AISBL (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif ) aiming to :

- raise awareness of the potential of renewable sources of energy (and in particular the potential [1] of the sun) for mankind and for the environment.
- raise funds to support projects using renewable technology in particular solar photovoltaic technology [2] to provide energy to the developing world.

[1] Studies (for example : the study edited by Dr. Arnulf Jäger-Waldau from the Joint Research Center of the European Commission « European Roadmap for PV R&D ») show indeed that the electricity coming from the sun should provide more than 70 % of the energy consumption worldwide in 2100. [2] Photovoltaic technology enables converting sun energy into electricity.
